Student Clubs

American Association of Petroleum Geologists (AAPG) club

The MSU Denver AAPG Student Chapter strives to educate members and the general public by deepening their own understanding of the earth’s processes. The American Association of Petroleum Geologists Foundation mission is to support educational, charitable and scientific objectives that directly and indirectly benefit the geologic profession and general public.

American Institute of Professional Geologists (AIPG) club

AIPG emphasizes competence, integrity and ethics. AIPG is an advocate for the profession and communicates regularly to federal and state legislators and agencies on matters pertaining to the geosciences. This is a Student Chapter to allow students to participate in this organization, meet fellow geologists, learn more about industries, and allow students the opportunity to network within the geology industry.

Geoscience Association (GSA) club

The objective of the Geoscience Association is to increase and enhance student’s exposure to field experiences in the earth sciences, professional development for careers in the geologic sciences, and to provide a network of like-minded scholars.
